Each season we bring a one-person play to living rooms across Metro Atlanta. Performances center on a social justice topic, include a topical presentation with our partner organization, and leave space for a cocktail hour where audiences to connect through candid dialogue.

We Hold These Truths is an Out of Hand Dinners series that invites you to share your story, hopes, and dreams for the future of our country.
Four playwrights have created original short plays shaped by community listening sessions that ground the work in local perspectives. Each play becomes the spark for guided conversation over a shared meal.

Out of Hand is ready to hand the mic to organizations ready to share its vision for a more just and connected society. Our productions don’t need a stage, curtain, or cushioned seats. We meet you where you are, literally. Our plays have been performed in workplaces, community spaces, and homes alike.
We work closely and intentionally with each client to understand their organization’s goals, select the best playwright, and workshop creative treatments, first drafts, and table reads of the play.
Together we’ll identify the issue, the room, the moment, and build a show around it.
