Workshop Performance

Out of Hand is developing a new theater event with the working title, Without Which Nothing.  On November 19th, we will present portions of the show as it currently stands.  This gives us the opportunity to try ideas out on a willing audience, take risks, and see if some of the new theatrical experiments we’re interested in can work or not.  YOU are an essential part of this process.  Please join us in making new theater for new audiences.

When:  Saturday, November 19th @ 7pm

Where:  Schwartz Theater Lab, Emory University

This workshop and workshop presentation is made possible through support from The Center for Creativity and the Arts and The Playwriting Center at Theater Emory.

Water is central to the myths and rituals of most religions. Water is essential for life. Water is running out. Without Which Nothing interweaves stories surrounding the complex questions, the mystery, the sanctity, and urgent global problem of water.

We started developing this new work at the Playwriting Center at Theater Emory’s Brave New Works Festival in the spring of 2011.  We continue to dig into the material this year and are planning a new showing of the work in progress in November.  Keep checking back here for updates and information on the project.
